Dan Thorn is an audio engineer who’s been living in Somerville, Massachusetts for his entire adult life (he’s old). He’s a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, bass, synthesis) and producer who can record, mix, or master your music, produce your podcast, or restore lower-quality audio.

Dan has worked with a wide-ranging group of musicians in the Boston area and beyond, including Bong Wish, Christians and Lions, Double Libra, The Michael Character, Mini Dresses, Miserable Chillers, Plumes, and Whistle Jacket.

As a podcast editor and producer, Dan has worked for The Conversationalist, Current Affairs magazine, Pete Davis and Elias Crim’s Lost Prophets, and Rabbithole Investigations among other clients, with experience managing podcast distribution and marketing as well as audio editing and scoring.

From 2014-2022, Dan worked out of a 1500-sq-ft studio space off McGrath Highway, which was also used as a practice space, a photo studio, and a DIY event space. Currently, Dan works out of his home in Union Square, The Record Co. in Boston, or wherever you’d like to work on your music with a portable recording setup.
